How to Manage Lupus Nephritis, Gross Hematuria, Abdominal Pain

I was diagnosed with lupus nephritis recently. I have gross hematuria and abdominal pain. I feel very scared. How should I manage these problems?

Systemic lupus erythematosus (SLE) is an autoimmune disorder. It can involve multiple systems and organs, such as eyes, skin, joints, gastrointestinal tract, kidney etc. Lupus nephritis is one of serious complications of SLE.

Abdominal pain should be one of gastrointestinal tract damage in SLE. Apart from it, the patients may also experience poor appetite, constipation, nausea, etc.

Gross hematuria is a manifestation of lupus nephritis.Glomerular filtration membrane can filter blood and retain useful substances in body. However, in lupus nephritis, the immune complexes in kidneys can change the normal structure of the glomerular filtration membrane and cause it to lose the normal filtration ability. As a result, a large amount of red blood cells pass through the membrane and end up in urine. When there is a large amount of red blood cells in urine, it will cause gross hematuria.

As both Lupus Nephritis and gastrointestinal tract damage are the results of SLE, the first treatment goal should be controlling SLE.

SLE is an autoimmune disorder. It means that the immune system attacks the healthy cells and tissues in body mistakenly. To treat the condition effectively, the key is to correcting immune dysfunction. Immunotherapy is an effective treatment option for SLE. This therapy treats disease by suppressing or enhancing an immune response. As for treating SLE, immunotherapy can suppress the abnormal immune response and stop the inflammatory response in body. In this way, it can stop further damage to the blood capillaires throughout the body including those in kidneys and gastrointestinal tract.

However, in lupus nephritis, gross hematuria indicates that kidneys have been damaged. To restore impaired kidney structure, Micro-Chinese Medicine Osmotherapy should be used. This therapy can activate the self-healing ability of the body and restore the impaired kidney structure. Therefore, it can bring an improvement in renal function.

The combined therapy of immunotherapy and Micro-Chinese Medicine Osmotherapy can control SLE and the associated symptoms like gross hematuria, abdominal pain and lupus nephritis effectively. Thereby, it can stop lupus nephritis from developing into Kidney Failure.
