Carob is a debatable food for kidney disease patients. Some people think that carob is a good choice and beneficial for kidneys while others claim that this vegetable surely will burden your damaged kidneys.
Here is some ideas of carob on kidneys for your information.
Carob does’t have negative effects of chocolate, carob is very nutritious. It contains rich vitamin A, vitamin B1, vitamin B2, calcium, magnesium, and the trace minerals iron, manganese, chromium, copper, and nickel. It contains approximately 8 percent protein and is a good source of fiber.
Compared to chocolate, carob is three times richer in calcium, has one third less calories and seventeen times less fat.
Carob sometimes is ordered for therapeutic purpose. It is known to halt serious cases of diarrhea in adults, infants, and animals. Carob helps alleviate nausea, vomiting, and upset stomach.
